Smoke alarms are incredible, life-saving devices. They are also incredibly annoying when you are cooking and have to worry about accidentally setting them off. A fact which uses causes you to wildly flap your arms near them when they start to go off or run around in a panic like a chicken with its head cut off trying to frantically open windows or your front door as quickly as possible before the Fire Department shows up.
Thankfully there’s a solution on the way. A Smoke Deflector i.e. a small fan that magnetically attaches to a frame around your smoke detector enabling you to prevent smoke from reaching the alarm while you are cooking.
Inventor Matt Benedetto specializes in Unnecessary Inventions but this is one creation that is actually necessary. Just so long as you only use it while cooking and don’t forget to take it down afterwards. Because if there’s one other thing that’s also a necessary invention it’s an actual working smoke detector.
Is a smoke deflector the Greatest Idea Ever?
